fractured foundations
in a disorganised world, i strive for control,
making no progress - what did i expect?
the standards we uphold, so fragile and so fake,
have i made a mistake? oh, what was I expecting?
i can’t seem to win, but have nothing to lose,
so, what did i expect?
false expectations on cracked foundations,
pointless participation within a fractured nation.
we are a new generation,
floating in failed motivation,
lost in a broken creation.
is there any room for some salvation?
…
within the chaos, a spark remains,
a glimpse of hope despite all the pain.
amidst the rubble, the grass can still grow,
from shattered dreams, new paths will show.
although the cracks may seem too wide,
and the rubble still too heavy,
within the struggle, strength resides.
our fractured voices, when combined,
can pave the way for a future redefined.
from fractured foundations, we will rebuild,
a world reshaped, a dream to be fulfilled.
